MCP in Voiden Beta
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a common language that lets an AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, or any other agent — actually use a program's abilities, instead of just reading about them in a document. A program that offers abilities this way is called an "MCP server"; a program that calls one is a "client." Voiden can act as either one, depending on what you're trying to do.
You don't need to understand the protocol itself to use any of this — just pick the row below that matches what you're trying to do:

These don't overlap:
- Initialize MCP — local execution, not publishing. One click in the app (or
voiden agentfrom the terminal) gives your AI assistant (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) 6 fixed tools for the project you have open right now: list files, list requests, run a request, write back a result, and list/select an environment. /mcp-clientblock — a client. Point it at someone else's server and call it, the same way a REST request calls an API./toolblock +@voiden/mcp— a server. Mark your own requests as tools and publish them so other agents can call you.
Summary
Start with Initialize MCP — it's the fastest way to let an agent work in your project, and most people never need more than that. Reach for /mcp-client to test someone else's server, or /tool + @voiden/mcp when you're ready to publish your own.
